Jeanne answered Friday January 4 2008, 9:42 pm: No, it's not possible to get pregnant with another baby when you're already pregnant. For one thing, when you become pregnant, you stop ovulating... that is, your ovaries don't release any eggs during the pregnancy. Also, as soon as you become pregnant, your cervix (opening into the uterus) closes up to prevent germs and stuff from harming the new baby. That also prevents any sperm from getting in. And even if they did (which they can't), there'd be no egg to fertilize.
And yes, it's okay to have sex when you're pregnant. As long as there are no complications with the pregnancy, and as long as your partner has no STDS, doctors say it's fine at all stages of the pregnancy. Although many women don't really feel like it once they to a certain point. [ Jeanne's advice column | Ask Jeanne A Question ]
MAK answered Friday January 4 2008, 6:43 pm: It's possible, and it doesn't damage the baby as rumor has it. The women's sex drive is pretty low though, so it doesn't happen too often. And you can't get pregnant while you're pregnant, but it is possible for you to get pregnant after having a baby, although the chances are high for it to be unhealthy if you don't wait the right amount of time.
