I've had this so much and the majority of the time, it's absolutely nothing (just muscle spasms) and can be caused through simple things, like;
*Stress
*Lack of sleep
*Too much caffeine
It can last from seconds to days.
If it spreads to other parts of your body, it's time to see a doc. Or if it persists for say, longer than a week, see a doctor to rule out any underlying illnesses and to put your mind at ease.

Go see a doctor. No really, go see one.

The best answer for any strange new problem with your body is seeing your family doctor. At the very least, call him up and ask him this same question.

If he says it is from stress, then begin looking for stress relief exercises to try out. Try to stay away from medications until it gets to be a serious problem.

If any other new symptoms appear along the side, you really should go see a doctor. Make it a top priority if you start feeling actually sick. It could be a sign of something serious.
