we have to act out on video..and i got a bad part
16/f..very shy. for my creative writing project, i had to work with 3 other girls (one is 18, one is 17, and one is 16) and we have to film a screenplay.
I was chosen to be a prostitute. I have to wear very vulgar clothes that show lots of cleavage and a very short skirt..and i have to talk inappropriately. I'm VERY shy and feel SOOOOOOOOO awkward when filming...It drives me insane. And I asked those girls whether or not I could get a more CLOTHED part....but they're all like NO NO!! You're doing so good! You have the best part!
I practically begged them..
But I feel sooo exposed...Like a complete whore. And worst of all, my entire class has to see this and so does my MALE teacher...
I don't know what to do ;_;

you don't have to do anything you don't feel comfortable doing. if you could tell them that you really are not okay with being a prostitute, then that might help your situation a little bit. anyway, since you are doing this for school, it seems inappropriate that you are having to wear vulgar clothes. you can get a "nude" colored shirt/pants/leggings to wear under whatever you need to wear if it helps. but you can achieve the look of a prostitute without wearing entirely slutty clothes. for example, if you go overboard on the make-up and do eighties "big" hair and wear a skirt with high heels and a semi-modest shirt, it will still be apparent that you are a prostitute (especially if there is dialogue alluding to that).
it's pretty obvious that you are not okay with this at all, and you need to try to let your group know that, or change the wardrobe of your character.

Wow.. I actually wouldn't do it. Nothing anyone says could even make me do it unless *I* wanted to and was completely comfortable doing so.
You clearly aren't comfortable.
It's not up to them how you should perform. Sure, you're all in a group but I doubt they'd want your part either, to be honest.
Don't ask them whether you can cover up some more, say you ARE going to cover up some more, or you simply won't do it.
If it gets bad, you really should talk to your teacher. He will definitely help in the situation.

do not do it , i mean if its a school project you wouldn0t want to be exposed like this and it sounmds like this girls are exposing you because your not friends with them?? because i mean if you where freiends then it wouldn't be a problem by changing that part ...also..is there any other option than a prostitute? or the story HAS to have a prostitute? i dont think so ..also tell thenm that its a school project and you dont feel confortable like this ..if they dont want to change it and refuse it ..tell your teacher that you think its unapropiet to have a prostitute in your video and they dont want to change it im sure the teacher will do something about it ..first talk to them about how this can look bad in a school video and your not confortable ..if they dont listen tell your teacher like "do you think its okay if our storyu has a prostitute? cause it think thats pretty far from a school projecct eventhough its acting and my mates dont want to change it could you talk to them or somehitng " i think that will work ..good luck! dont let others make you do something to embarras you or something you dont want! :)
