1. yes i've heard its a gun. it can also be pierced with a needle though. it depends on where you go.
2. i've heard from my friends that it doesnt hurt that bad and that its definetly worth it.
3. i think you can change it after 6 weeks or so.
4. most people do it on the top.
5. i'm not sure how long it will be sore for but you can put a bandaid or something over it to keep it from rubbing against your clothes. my friend got hers over the summer and at the beginning of the school year during like the first sports season she had to wear a tight shirt for volleyball and it was rubbing against her pierce and she said it hurt. so just dont wear tight clothing for awhile. or put a bandaid over it if youre going to.

1.) It is a gun and they also use a clamp to hold onto the skin :)

2.) It depends .. when i had mine done it did hurt a little but when my mates had theirs done it never hurt most of them :)

3.) Again this depends.. you have to leave it in for i think 6 weeks at first, but after that if yours has healed and is not painful then you should be able to change it.

4.) The top definately!

5.) If it still hurts but you want to play basketball, then just cover it up with a huge plaster or something similar. When you first have it done they should cover it up with something to stop it catching on your clothes..just do the same when you play BB. :) x

1. It's a gun (if the shop doesn't use one ask why?!!)
2. Oh, it just hurts a little but worth it (says my lady friend).
3. It should be healed and ready to go in a few weeks, maybe sooner. (not sure what you meant by this question)
4. I'd say the middle. There's no argument there!
5. Depends on your own body. It might take you a week, but tell the professional piercer who performs the task what you've asked here and let them know you are active. Only thing I can foresee is perhaps the clothing yanking on the stud. Just take it out if there would be a problem.
