im really sad. ive gone the whole break without seeing my boyfriend. ive talked to him, but its not the same. weve been going out for a long time, and this is the 1st time i havent seen him for a while. i miss him very badly. any ideas on how to get (atleast temporarily) my sadness gone and how to make my day a lil happier? any advice welcome. xoxo
You need to develop your own interests outside of your boyfriend. Go to the library, get into a good book, go for a run, volunteer in your neighborhood, call some girlfriends, get on line and look up some things you have always wondered about...
Helping other people who are worse off than you are can help you get a good sense of perspective. Join a club or a volunteer group--think about what you like to do: Horseback riding, gardening, swimming, whatever--you can meet people who like the same things that you do, and make some friends. Don't sit around waiting for this guy to get around to you. Get out there and get on with your own life.
