Question Posted Thursday December 27 2007, 3:41 pm
I just moved and I want to get a new bedspread and paint my room.
I was thinking of either getting a yellow bedspread and painting the room a light purple or getting a purple bedspread and painting the room a light yellow.
Which one sounds better?
The only thing is I can't find any yellow bedspreads, so if you can find some online please post the links. Thank you!
And also i'm 15 so I don't want a really fancy type bedspread and I don't like designs like stripes or big polka dots or hearts or anything like that.
this is my current duvet cover. I have a feeling it's something you'd really like if you're in between the typical tween set of bedding and the typical fancy old lady set. it's also really easy to wash being that it's a duvet cover. I highly recommend ikea's bedroom series to complete your room. [ Moop's advice column | Ask Moop A Question ]
freshcutroses answered Thursday December 27 2007, 7:54 pm: i personally love yellow walls, and yellow walls would be less vibrant, i think, and easier to change around. (yellow walls still match if in a couple of years you decide to get a blue, or pink bedspread.) purple would be harder to work around in that case. but on the other hand, purple is one of my favorite colors, and a light purple would be beautiful. if you choose purple, choose one shade lighter than the shade you actually want. a medium shade, although beautiful, will make your room seem smaller and once its on the walls it will seem dark. so go with light purple. I absolutly love that set. It is so adorable. I like the idea of purple walls and a yellow bedspread. For your bed, you can get some purple throw pillows to accent the walls. [ ASAPcamille's advice column | Ask ASAPcamille A Question ]
