I have heard that certain foods can trigger certain types of dreams. For example: supposedly spicy foods can trigger nightmares.
I've never, personally, connected what I ate in a day to dreams I had that night. Usually something from the day sticks in my subconscious memory and it comes out in my dreams. For example: I see a fallen tree in the woods, don't think anything of it other than the initial observance, yet that night I have a dream a tree has fallen on my house. Or something along those lines.
I don't know, maybe that's just confusing and doesn't even answer your question.
