cartilage pierced
I'm going tomorrow morning to get my cartilage pierced and i'm not exactly sure where i'm going.
my question is, which hurts less
gun or needle?
i've had my belly button periced with a needle.
and all other pericings on my ear done with a gun
but i don't know about a cartilage.i'm thinking a gun since i know it will be painful, but i know that a gun would be quicker.
also, right or left side?
i'm thinking the .. left

Why on EARTH is everyone saying to get the gun? It's NOT suitable for any form of piercing and shouldn't even be used.. but unfortunately, it is.
Think about it. A gun is basically forcing a blunt object into your ear, ripping your skin and causing unnecessary damage as it goes in. There's a much higher risk of infection if you use a gun too, because the guns CAN'T be sterilized properly.
A needle is simple and much more effective. It's sharper, hurts less and you know a needle is sterilized correctly. The only bad thing I can possibly think of is it may take a little longer. But you can be certain a job will be well done and the placement is correct.

Sadly, my advice probably reached you too late. I just hope if you DID get the gun, it heals nicely.. and if next time you ever get a piercing, now you know the needle is the better option.

I know you can get guns you use once and throw away afterwards.. but it doesn't change the fact they still cause unecesarry damage to your skin.
All REPUTABLE piercing parlours do NOT use guns.
So my opinion will not change ;)

I got my cartilidge pierced, and unfortunatley it got infected and i was scared sooo bad of the gun, but in the end, the gun was sooo much easier. AND it didnt hurt...well, not until i had to turn it like every 10 minutes haha. but dont do the needle, gun all the waaaayy.

The cartilage is thick, (think of it like thin bone) so a needle would be very painful. I have one pierced and I had it with a gun. It doesn't hurt until the next day. It is very sensitive so watch where you hold your phone and which side you sleep on lol. I think the left side is cute (because that's where mine is pierced!) lol! Good luck :)

haha ya the gun is so more easier do it that way it hurts for a day at night it will hurt and dont remove it to change the earing for like a year clean it and ik they say u can take it out like after how many weeks but wait a year. sometimes at night it will hurt to sleep on it and to choose the ear you want on what side you pick the side that you least sleep on!
