Question Posted Wednesday December 19 2007, 4:40 am

I have a Dell Inspiron 6400. My space bar is kind of broken, I guess. Like I have to press exactly on the center for it to work correctly. It's really annoying. Is there anything I can do about it, or should I just let it be?

Try that but first turn off your PC before doing that. You could also (while PC is off) try getting some cotton swabs and rubbing alcohol and cleaning the gunk out. Make sure it's completely dry first.

it could be the spring in the space bar
it probably got stuck because gunk got in and stuff
carefully take the spacebar out
watch out for the spring cause it can pop out and without it your spacebar wont work. then clean it
that should do the trick
