being a teenage mom trying to find out how to balance a love

Question Posted Saturday December 1 2007, 12:22 am

Why is it that me being a teenage mother and going to school plus working atleast 40 hours a week make it so hard to keep a boyfriend?

I am 16 years old and currently pregnant. I fear that my boyfriend and I will have problems after the baby is born. School, work and a baby is a lot to handle, not to mention very time-consuming. The boyfriend problem is probably there because you don't have a lot of time to devote to a guy.

First of all, I really have to say that I respect you for not letting being a teen mom get you down. You're beating the odds, and that is an amazing thing.

My guess is that most guys your age just aren't ready for the responsibility of a family, and you've got one ready-made.

On the plus side, you are weeding out the immature, irresponsible ones. When you do find the right guy, you'll know he's in it for the long run.

Good luck!

Most of your time is spoken for. You know that :)

The fact of the matter is that you are more
mature and more responsible than most guys your age.
This isn't a bad thing at all. Comes when you have a child. When it comes to dating though, most teens don't want that responsibility.

Hang in there. I know it is hard to believe right now but it will change. :)
