Gifts for X-Mas

Question Posted Thursday November 29 2007, 4:32 pm

I finally am old enough to have a job, and that means more money to pay for Christmas gifts. Now, I am still tight, with nine members of just my immediate family to pay for. I am looking for gifts $25 and under, and are available IN STORES, not just online. I want specifics please (example: for a guy: scarf from LL Bean that's $20). Links are appreciated, but not necessary. I have gifts in mind, so I need the following:
1 gifts- men
3 gifts- women

Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure whether or not this would help you, but I'll let you know what I got for my friends...

For my two best girl friends: One, I got a pair of pj shorts and a cute bag from Victoria's Secret (her favorite store). Those would be out of your price range, she's the person I'm spending the most on just because she's my best friend and I had a pretty nice paycheck to use. My other best friend and I have a tradition where each year we buy each other a movie. I'm getting her the Superbad DVD (because we're both finally 17 for a Christmas we're getting eachother something rated r).

For the rest of my friends who I'm somewhat close with but not close enough with I'm getting one thing.
I went to wal-mart and bought really cute "paper lunch bags" that have been decorated for $0.20 each. I got about 15 of those costing less than $5 with tax included. Then I bought about $45 or $50 worth of different candies. Chocolate, nonchocolate, gummies, twizzlers, candycanes, little 5-pack peices of gum (with 10packs per large pack). I dumped out all of the candy at my house and equally divided it up. I'm giving everyone a bag of candy. It's a really nice gift in my opinion and you can buy up to 30 people worth of these candy gifts for $100 or less!
Also, if you're like me you want to throw them a "little gift". There are all sorts of mini key chains or mini stuffed animals that you can purchase for less than $5 and you can put one in each bag.
Or, if you and your friends are really weird/out there you can buy crazy gifts such as what one of my other good friends and I did last year. We bought each other toe socks and stuffed animals. Cute, cheap, and just funny/insder worthy.

There are all sorts of things you can get for people. The best gifts are the gifts that come from the heart. I know it's cliched, but think of a REALLY good inside joke with your friends and buy them something that relates to the joke.

I was riding around town with a friend of mine and there was a car in front of us and I was trying to read what type of car it was because I thought it looked really cool. It was a lexus but I thought the 'u' was an LI because it was raining and I couldn't see. So I was sounding it out and I asked her what a lexlis was. About a week later she brought me a toy model of a lexus. To me that would be a really funny gift that you could give along with other small gifts.

My friends know that I'm a HUGE Rachael Ray fan and a HUGE Kenny Chesney fan. I'm also a sports fanatic and they all know that I love the steelers and the tarheels. So they know if they were to get me anything related to any of those it would be the perfect gift...

If I knew your friends and the types of things they were into I could help you so much more.

So, if you're stuck on one or two friends you can send me an inbox telling me some good stuff about them and I could help you come up with some ideas. Otherwise, the candy thing is the best I have.
