i need to talk more in conversations

Question Posted Saturday November 24 2007, 9:57 pm

I am male in high school, sorry if this a bit long.

I have no trouble at all starting a conversation with someone or meeting someone new, but when I am in a conversation I often get stuck. If I have known the person for like 5 years I am usually perfect, but < 5 years and I soon have nothing to say and just smile and nod to the other person and agree with whatever they are saying.

Also for some reason everything I have to say just floats out of my head so I am also not funny and the conversaion is awkward. I am not nervous when I talk to anyone, new or old, but I have been told I sound unsure when I talk.

I would appreciate any advice at all on this subject and would be very grateful. Thanks!

hmm idk i kinda think you should just be yourself and just let whatever you wanna say come out. i know this isnt very helpful but being 12 doesnt exactly give you any advantages on that stuff to give advice for.

good luck!
