Photoshop brighter smooth sliky skin.

okay well i once saw this utube video (not a tutorial) where someone took this red brush, and smoothed it over a face, and then the face became brighter, and smoother and silkier. what did they do? can anyone direct me on this?


also. if anyone has any ideas on how to do some really good photoshop tricks for people who are scene or emo or whatever. that would be really cool.
no offense really whatsoever, just they have REALLY good photoshop tricks and id love to see some because utube cant find some stuff im lookin for.

everything will be MUCH appreciated. cause im trying to enhance my photoshop skills :)
oh yeah. and how to make an animation if u have the time to say :) <3s forevers.

I know removing digital camera noise does that, but I can't tell you how to smooth a brush over a face for the same effect. :(
Sorry I can't tell you how to do what you ask but hope I helped somewhat. (I'm still trying to figure out that program myself...)
