sprained finger

for swimmimg we were doing stuff with medicine balls and i accidentally caught the ball the wrong way and sprained my finger. (index finger) i put ice on it and taped it up but my finger wont go straight at all even with pushing it with my other fingers. it goes so far then just stops..what did i do? is this just a 1st degree sprain or could i have torn the ligaments?

you need to go to a doctor...really thats the only thing that can help your finger...it could be something serious!!!

This is something you need to go to the doctor about.
Only with a medical examination will you find out what is wrong with your finger, and get the right treatment for it to heal.
