How do i get a default picture on my YouTube
account?

By default, a still image from the last public video that you uploaded will be your profile icon. You have the option to changing it to a still image of any of the public videos that you have uploaded.

To do this, click the "My Account" link at the top of the page, and then click "Channel Info", and choose 'I'll select the profile picture from "My Videos"'. Now, go to "My Videos" and the should be a "Make Channel Icon" button next to each of your videos. Choose the one you want and click that button.

Note that you cannot directly upload images are your picture, so you'll have to have a video if you want an icon on your page.
