Party

Question Posted Wednesday November 14 2007, 12:07 am

I'm going to a sweet 15 party. I've never been to one or a dance, so I need hair & makeup help!

I'm going to borrow my friend's green dress:

I haven't tried it on but we have a similar body so I'm assuming it would look okay. I have dark brown wavy hair past my shoulders. Brown eyes. I don't have a curling iron, just a straightener. Should I go for a natural look or something?

Sounds fun! Seeing as it's your first dance type thing, I'll give some extras...

I suggest you try on the dress as soon as possible-if you don't, you may end up having to wear a dress that doesnt fit you. The dress is simple, so I think some accesories will make it look great. You could go "mod" and wear a head band (that matches the color of your shoes) and straighten your hair, or you can get your hair curled. Both would look great!

she wears headbands all the time, maybe you could get some ideas from her. If you wanted an easy hair style, you could part your hair on the side and pull it in pony tail (low or high works) and leave your natural wave in. If you want some sparkle, there are hair sprays you can get (designed for your hair color) that will bring out your natural highlights and make your hair shine :)

Metallic accesories would go nicely with your dress.

I'm guessing your wearing heels? If you do, I suggest buying pads (they come as whole soles, or just toe pads or heel pads with sticky bottoms) because your feet will start to hurt. Or you could just bring a pair of socks in your purse. By the end of the dance most of the guests will be out of their shoes guarenteed. (a lot of parties I've been to have actually given out personalized socks for dancing)

Okay so I gave a lot more advice then needed :P

Have a great time!
