do we need to go to our high school counselors to get working papers? or is taht only for people 16 yrs old. im 17. what do i do if i wanna work at some ice craem store for example. i dont have previous experience. do i just walk in and ask some random person who works there if they are still hiring? then what happens? i get papers, fill them out, return, and wait for a call back? do all jobs require interviews? if so, what do they ask you? because the form usually asks all the necessary questions. any tips for interviews?

S0methingM0re answered Monday November 12 2007, 2:55 pm: Yes, you will need working papers. I believe you dont need them when your 18 or older. (not sure on that last thing) with my school, the working papers are right in the guidence office. So check there or ask your counselor. First you have to find out if the place is hiring. They will tell you what to do from there. They will probably schedule an interview and ask you to bring in working papers. For what they ask you, it depends on the job and the boss. I work at an Assisted Living place (kinda like a nursing home) and the guy just basically told me what my job would be in the interview. He didnt really ask me anything. However, every job is different.
