Whats a good way to begin to stop procrastinating? I've had this problem since middle school, and now as I'm almost finishing high school, I'm afraid it will affect my chances of getting into college with the grades I have now.

One of my teachers gave me a couple possible solutions, but the only one that worked for me was this.. set a timer for 30 minutes. For the 30 minutes, do you'r homework, clean the house, or whatever you have to get done. Then when the timer goes off, set it for 20 or 30 minutes, and do something that you like to do like watching tv, going on the computer, talking on the phone, or whatever. Then set the timer for another 30 minutes and do it all again. It's a lot easier to get things done when you split it up with things that you like to do. It might take a few times to really make it work, but it does work.

While I was studying, I would turn off my phone, so there would be absolutely no distractions what's so ever.
If you tend to watch tv, try to do your homework before or after you favorite show. Set an alarm clock to ring after the show is over, then turn off the tv and do your homework.
After you do your homework, you can do whatever you want!
Do this for about a month or two, because that is when you will realize that you can survive without the computer and tv (those are usually the causes of procrastination).
