All girls experience different types of pain in various body parts. I understand that anything that goes on in the vaginal area can cause a bit of a scare, but you have nothing to worry about. The average period lasts about 5-7 days, so it's normal for some of the pain to continue for a bit. You know what is normal for your body. Wait a couple days and see how things go. If the pain persists for more than a few days, or gets worse, you should speak to a school nurse or doctor about it. But really, you are fine and have nothing to worry about.
Also, as your body changes over the years, the type of pain you experience during your period will probably change. I used to also experience the same thing that you described, but now it no longer happens. Instead, I get backaches, which I never used to have. On a positive note, after a while the severity of the pain you experience will probably be reduced. [ ciao77's advice column | Ask ciao77 A Question ]
LagunaBabe answered Friday November 9 2007, 12:37 am: I get this all the time, see, some people have worse periods than others. Unfortunately, I'm one of those people -- and you probably are too. I have horrible PMS (Pre-menstual Syndrome), what you get before your period. During my period, I have terrible aches everywhere. And even after my period is over, I'm still sore. So it's normal, just painful. I take Midol, I haven't found anything better to ease the pain. It's cheaper than going to the doctor, and having he/she prescribe medication for it.
