Honestly, I think that every straightener does burn your hair atleast a little bit because it's electical. But it might not burn as much as the rest. I used to have a bad straightener and it made my hair look really badd. Then I got a CHI and I think it works great. It doesn't make your hair look fried, it makes it looks smooth and silky. Also, their hair products are great! But if you want Curioliss, then just look some facts up online (:

I have very thick and wavy hair so it was hard for me to find a straightner that actually worked on my hair. I use the MAXIGLIDE by Maxius and it makes me hair look naturally straight and does not burn my hair what so ever. I know that the CHI is also a good straightner but over time your hair looks fried out and dull. I use the MAXIGLIDE almost every day for 2 years now and my hair is not damaged at all. It really depends on your hair type. I also do not have a problem straighting the back of my hair with the MAXIGLIDE but I know alot of people who do because of the MAXIGLIDE's bulky size. The Maxiglide is about $79.99 at most places.

As far as curioliss, I'm assuming that is a name brand of a straightner. I do not know anything about that. When it comes to how to straighten your hair in the back without a mirror. I personally just part my hair down the middle and pull all my hair to the front of my shoulders(like you would if you were putting it into pig tails) and i pin the top layers up and straighten for the bottom layer on up.
hope i helped some.
