"Common to or shared by two or more parties; "a common friend"

So in other words, it's the friends that the two of you have in common.

mutual mean the friends you have in common
like lets say you both have "bob" added as a friend, he is a mutual friend
you might not have it if you arent showing your friends on your profile.

Mutual means friends you have in common. So if you clicked that button- it would show you a list of people you and your friend have in common.

You don't have it on your page- because your mutual friends with yourself are your friends, obviously =D

Got it?
