boy and girl: around waist or over shoulder?
When a guy and a girl stand together, who puts their arm where?
Whose arm goes around the waist and whose goes over the shoulder? Can both put the arms over the shoulder, or both put their arms around the waist?

Generally the taller person puts their arm on the other's shoulders, while the shorter puts their arm around the back.
If theres only one arm, the arm goes on mid/lower back.

It goes either way, sometimes the guy puts his arm around the girls waist. Then, the girl puts her on his shoulder or around his waist too (like a hug). And other times, the girl puts her arm around his waist, and his arm goes on her shoulder.

it doesn't matter at all. honestly, its not like some kid is going to be all like "oh my god, their arms are not the way they are supposed to be." It doesn't matter, just put your arm where you feel comfortable. If you're taller than him, you might want to put your arm on his shoulder, but if you're shorter than him, then you can put your arm around his waist. If you're the same height as him, you can both put your arms around your shoulders or waist.
