I was a cheerleader for 7 years and I was having a bit of trouble with my tumbling, so my coach suggested I practice with ankle weights. They are hard to get used to, but they make everything so much easier once you're comfortable with them (good for getting your jumps higher, too!). If you don't want to use them then try to perfect a roundoff double backhandspring then slowly turn it into a roundoff backhandspring tuck. If nothing works, talk to your coach and see if she/he has any suggestions. [ MyHappyShoe's advice column | Ask MyHappyShoe A Question ]

and make sure to really push with your shoulders so you are verticle for the rebound.
