Dogs Canine Teeth are rotting?

Question Posted Sunday October 28 2007, 1:30 am

Hi, my dogs canine teeth are rotting, what are some things i should or should not do to help him with pain and to help it from getting worse until we go to the vet. Sometimes when he is eating or chewing a bone he yelps, I feel bad for him and i cant brush his teeth because I will hurt him. My sister usually takes care of him because he is her dog but i love him equally. Is there anything I can give him to help, any sort of home remedies?

As a future veteranarian I know alot about dogs. I believe be needs to have then pulled if they're rotting. So take him to the vet unlike the other person said asap is not necessary but make an appointment. In trhe mean time soften his food by mixeing it half and half with canned dog food (if you feed him kibble like food) and keep him away from bones.

Take him to the vet asap.
Until then, keep hard toys away from him, and give him softer food, not hard dry food. If you dont have wet dog food, try applesauce or mashed potatoes haha
Good luck!
