ok, so theres this guy who i went out with, but i broke up with him, cuz i never really liked him. so he calls me bad stuff behind my back, but according to his friends, he still reallly likes me.
whats his deal?

I think his deal is that he's mad at the fact that you two dated then you broke up with him.
Maybe he's just saying that kind of stuff out of anger? or just as in an 'whatever' type of attitude.
But then again, you can never know unless you confront him about it. Maybe all that things his friends are saying aren't even true.
Find out the truth and talk about it. Be friends like you two were before you two dated. :)

You hurt him, which is probably why he's bitching about you. He may say stuff about you, but deep down, he still likes you.
Most people go through it after a break up. Give him some time to get over it.

It's simple: he's hurt. He probably feels like you led him on and hes disappointed you never liked him back. Calling you bad stuff is the only thing that seems to make him feel better, so he does it to get back at you.
I think it would be a good idea to sit down with this kid and have a talk. Apologize to him and be honest: you didn't like him and it wasn't going to go anywhere. Tell him that breaking up was the right thing to do instead of pretending there was something there. Ask him if you can put it all behind you and be friends. Hopefully then he'll grow up.
