16/f. Whenever I sing, I have two problems. Sometimes my throat will tighten up (I don't want it to and I don't know it's going to) right before I want to go up a few steps and my voice will go down instead for part of that note. Then everything's back to normal. This happens quite often, pretty much every day that I sing, and It's a little embarassing.
Also, When I Try to hit a high G or A (which is pretty much the highest that I can sing right now) my voice will crack, switching between notes just above and just below the note that I want to sing. How can I fix this?
Is there any food that I can eat that will help a clogged throat, like If I drank milk and I want to sing? Thanks!
As far as being unable to hit certain notes properly understand that everyone has a range they can hit easily and those they cannot. You can try and correct all of this by hiring a voice teacher. [ solidadvice4teens's advice column | Ask solidadvice4teens A Question ]

coat your throat and won't help you at all.
I was always told to eat raw lemons before singing.
Supposedly they help tighten the vocal chords. Always seemed to work, so it can't hurt anything for you to try it. Remember, raw and sour. No sugar added! :) [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
