Betrayal :/
I betrayed my best friend in the world, Cali..:[
So I'm friends with this girl, Holly. Holly really liked this kid named Jared...I was supposed to try and hook them up. In the process of convincing Jared to go out with Holly, I found out that my best friend Cali liked Jared..A lot. But I didn't pay attention to that fact..So Jared and Holly are going out, and Cali wanted to know if I knew she liked him before I hooked him up with Holly. I lied and said I had no idea. I feel like an idiot for betraying my best friend, but I don't know what to do...I know that what she doesn't know won't hurt her, but still...What do I do?

Honestly don't think there's anything you can do... I mean, it's not like you're gonna break Holly and Jared up, then try to hook him up with cali, right? of course not. I don't think this should be stressing you out so much. i can't say it doesn't suck, but if you feel that bad about it, just tell cali the truth. Say, "I guess I might've heard SOMETHING about it, but Holly was counting on me to do her this favor so I just brushed it off without knowing that you really DID like him, much less that you liked him THAT much." Tell her you didn't want to get her so angry or hurt, but that you figured you had to tell her. i doubt you best friend in the whole world can get too mad at you for this. It's the best i can come up with, anyway. Let me know how this all works out=]

What this all comes down to is your heart's feelings. Deep down inside, I'm sure you feel awful and are really mad at yourself for betraying your best friend. And also the more that you think about it the worse it gets, and that even though you already told her you had no idea, you still feel awful. To tell you the truth, I think you should tell her what actually happened.
Considering the fact that you said Cali is your BEST friend, while Holly is just a friend, I think it's only fair that you sit Cali down, and let her know that you are truly truly sorry for everything. Tell her that life goes on, although she may not want to hear it, and also that there are plenty of other boys, even if she doesn't want to believe it now.
But seriously, I know this may not be what you want to hear, but you will feel so much better after you let this off your chest.
And tell her that you will never ever lie to her like that again, because it made you feel terrible - tell her that genuinely.
I have every ounce of confidence that you will do the right thing and make everything right again. Just take a deep breath, and know that things are definitely going to be okay. (:
