"Plan B® should be taken within 3 days (72 hours) of unprotected sex and can reduce the risk of pregnancy by up to 89%. But the sooner you take it the more effective it will be."
It is not true that you never get pregnant the first time you take it. Basically, the way the percentage of you not getting pregnant breaks down is...for every 8 women who take it, 7 of them will NOT get pregnant. So, there is still a chance that you can get pregnant even after you take it, but it is still very effective.

And you can get pregnant your first time, fifth time, whatever time. Sexual intercourse without protection can very much lead to pregnancy whether it's your first time or your last time.
