It is a staph infection that they say is spread through hospitals.
Most I have seen with it are from nursing homes. Punch in almost any residents name
from a certain nursing home in my area and MRSA
contact infection control will come up on the
hospitals screen. These patients are isolated, probably more for their own good than anything else.
Some strains of MRSA are resistant to antibiotics.
Personally, I believe more and more infections will become resistant to antibiotics because so many people insist on having one for every little thing.
People for years have insisted on an antibiotic for every cold or other irritating thing they have. Doctors give antibiotics out like candy because basically, it shuts the patient up and they leave the office happily thinking they will be well soon. This is changing now but it may be
a little late. The germs are fighting back.
Sorry for the run on. I believe that antibiotic resistant infections are a serious danger in the future. Calling this one infection a superbug is probably a little over the top. I think there will be more and more in years to come. There are other ways to treat it I believe. [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]

She also said, yes, there is NO cure for it. Some kid alreayd died of it, (Not to scare ya) It would be best to start washing your hands more, taking more showers (Don't ask), even keeping your hands away from your face. Which I can't do because I have a nervous tick thing that makes me rub my eyes, but anyway, try uping the volume on personal health and stuffz. I hope this was informational! :) [ bitchyXemoXadivceXchick's advice column | Ask bitchyXemoXadivceXchick A Question ]
