I had this problem and I solved it by using gel, then topping it off with maximum-hold hairspray.

The same thing happened to me! I use all garnier fructis products but the best thing i got was this bottle called brilliantine shine glossing spray. After you straighten your hair you spray it on, and it makes your hair shiny and gets rid of all the frizz. I'll attach a picture of the bottle so if you buy it, it will be easy to find.

plus its only 4 dollars.

You can use gel or hairspray, something that says extra hold, and just use a little bit of it. Or you can use just a little bit of water, you won't be able to tell the difference.
