hey i have a question about facebook... when you sign up and it asks for your full name, once you create that account can other people see your full name that you entered? can they like search that name and then your account will come up?? sorry i'm just trying to be safe :p

Maybe give some free advice about: Random Weirdos? uisforukelele answered Monday October 15 2007, 6:39 pm: good job on trying to be safe! more people need to do that. and yes, it will show up as your name so don't put in "billy bob" or something... unless that is your name ;) a lot of people use their first names and middle names instead of a last name. or sometimes they use first name and last initial or something. however, you can set your account to be private to anybody that is not your friend- as in, if somebody searches for you and you come up, all they see is your display name and profile picture. i'm pretty sure there is even an option that makes it to where you don't show up in search whatsoever. i think that facebook is a lot safer than myspace, if that makes you feel better. So you might want to do what my best friend did. She put in a false name, and then told all of her friends it was her, so they could add her. A lot of people like you choose their first name and then their middle name, but you can do what you want.
