how do you know when someone plays notes on the keys if its: do re mi fa sol la ti or do? and you cant see the notes but have to hear it? my pianos outta tune and i dont really get it. all C notes are do. i can differentiate between any of the notes played? maybe i just need to hear the notes more? but i would need to know all octaves or w/e its called.. all res and whatever.

You can go to a music store, and then when you are there, they will recommend something to do.

The best way to tune your piano is to get a tuning fork. You can get those at a music store (the kind that sells instruments, not CDs).
Now, you don't have to have one, but it makes it easier if you can't do it by ear alone.
