"got your back..?"

What does a person do when a friend promises you something, says "got your back, I promise," and totally backstabs and ignores you and is unsuccessful at his/her promise?

Then they aren't your real friend. A realy friend wouldn't hurt you like that person did. No matter what you will always have a friend like that. Jusy don't depend on them.

I'd give your friend the chance to apologize and tell his/her side of the story, but if they're ignoring you, just try not to get hung over by it. You're probably better off without them if they can't even give you reasons for their actions.
