homecoming.
so for homecoming i bought this really cute dress and a bought 2 pairs of shoes. one goes perfectly with the dress but is 3 in!!! the other is pretty cute but doesnt go as well. its shorter about a 2in. the thing is im going with a guy that about my height((without heels)) and i think i'll feel self concious about my height around him and other people too if i wear those 3in way cute shoes. i know that the shoes only stay on your feet for like pics and thats it...but still i fell totally tall in the 3in ones and not as tall in the 2in. which should i go with?

For pictures- go with the shorter ones. But, to the actual dance * if you do the pictures before going*, wear the ones that match:D. lol there is a solution!

I would go with the shorter ones that you feel more comfortable in. You don't want to be soaring over your date and the 3" heels could be hard to dance in. Also, like you said, you usually don't keep the shoes on the whole time and it's pretty dark at a dance so no one will even notice. If you really love the 3" shoes, you could wear them before you go for some pictures and what not. You could even bring them along and leave them somewhere like the car so you can wear them for some pictures if you want.
