putting songs on a powerpoint??help!!

so im kind of spastic with powerpoint and does anyone know how to get a song from itunes on a powerpoint presentation? when i tried to do the "insert sounds" thing it said that the file couldnt be put on the powerpoint.
oh and when i do that how do i link the music to the presentaiton so it stays on when i present it on another computer??

If you have the song on CD, just convert it to your computer using Windows Media Player.

Or just search limewire/bearshare/whatever your downloading files network is and download it in that file type there.

I know that in order to add a song to a powerpoint, the file has to be in mp3 or WAV format. When you download from iTunes, the songs are protected mp4s. You can change them to mp3s but it isn't the easiest thing to do and you need certain software. Plus, even if you change them into mp3s, you can't embed them. You can only embed WAVs (so they stay in the powerpoint file no matter where you show it). I think you're best bet is to search for WAvs. I could go on, but I think this article does a better job explaining it than I ever could...
