I have had this done and, trust me, it's no big thing. Throughout the surgery, you will be numb and they might put you on laughing gas, which really does make you laugh by the way. I'm sure you'll be comfortable during the surgery. Yes, it will be sore afterward, but they will most likely prescribe you a pain medication that can clear that up for you. The pain is the worst the day of the surgery, but you will most likely sleep the rest of that day anyway.
You really have nothing to worry about. Your dentist will make sure you have limited amounts of pain. You'll be glad once that tooth comes in. ]
Don't worry about it, they will probably give you a local anesthetic. (sp)
A few years ago I had 1 baby tooth that wouldn't fall out and two extra teeth in the gum above it (gross, I know). They removed 2 and pulled 1 down. They knocked me out for it, and the only time it hurt was while I was waiting for the medicine. Ask your parents to get your prescription ahead of time and pick up the medicine so it's ready as soon as you're done.
Hope it goes well! ]
