Question Posted Tuesday September 18 2007, 8:35 pm
I'm a female who's approximately 5'7 and weighs about 117 lbs. I haven't had my period for two months. I was on a diet & I do have strict eating habits. What can help me get my period?? I'm satisfied with my diet & don't want to change it up too much. I'm maintaining my weight, not trying to lose or gain. I have an appointment with the gyno, but other than that is there anything I can do?? Should I be worried or concerned?? Is this normal?? Thanks!!

I know you said you don't want to change your weight or eating habits but according to your BMI(body mass index) you could stand to gain about 5 pounds :) and even then you would be on the thinner side of average.
But that might not only be the problem, and it might not be the problem at all. If you're in your teens it could just be an imbalance of hormones...or anything really. This sort of thing happens all the time. Frequent periods..no period at all. My friend was having her period twice a month and they put her on the pill to even her out. Maybe it works for women missing theirs?
Don't worry about it. You didn't mention being sexually active, but if you are theres of course a chance you're pregnant. But you aren't going to die or anything XD [ spookykiwi's advice column | Ask spookykiwi A Question ]
