dance trouble

Question Posted Monday September 17 2007, 10:12 pm

so this sucks.
homecoming is coming up in a couple of weeks and all my friends have dates with people they REALLY like.
so that's cool.
but now they are all over me to get a date.
and there are all these scary guys that like me.
scary like...just gross.
totally not people that I would want to even talk to.
and my friends decided they will tell all of the guys that like me that I don't have a date for the dance yet and i'm interested in them.
yeah.
bummer.
and they keep trying to ask them to go with me!
it's so annoying.
i mean, i'll find a date on my own, but it's so annoying that every single moment they won't shut up about how they are going to go tell them.
i've told them they're making me really agitated, but they won't stop!
i don't know how to make them stop.
and if it's not asking me to the dance, it's just to tell them I like them back when I totally don.t.
does this make any sense?

Tell them they might as well stop because you will turn down anyone they have ask you. Be sure to tell
them you appreciate their efforts, but it isn't going down that way. :)

Tell your friends exactly what you told us: you don't want to go with those guys and you won't have any problem finding a date on your own. Remind them that it's none of their business. Your friends are acting extremely immature. If any of those guys asks you to the dance, kindly let them know that your friends were leading them on and politely turn them down. Plain and simple. In the end, you really need to sit your friends down and tell them to grow up or else.
