Its really common for people not to even bring dates to homecoming because its not that big of a deal. Sine you have a free ticket you mine as well go. Just got with a group of your friends.

For a dress look for something not too formal you dont want to over-due it. I usually get my dresses at deb(if you have one near you or they have a site online) or macys/filenes. Any place like that just look around or ask other people where they're getting their dresses. You can strt looking now but you have a while to chose what to wear.

You should definitely go. I actually prefer to go dateless because Homecoming, to me, is all about having a good night and having a date will tie you down and restrict you to only dancing with him. I find it more fun to dance with a lot of different people so I always turn guys down when they ask me. It doesn't seem like much of a point to guy with a date, anyway, unless it's your boyfriend. In the middle of the night, you get sick of dancing with them and you want to move to a different person so basically, a date is just a guy you match clothing colors with and take a couple pictures with. Not that great.

You really need to get a dress soon. Everytime I procrastinate and get it last minute, the good dresses are always gone, my size isn't left, and the lines are way too long. Homecoming dresses are generally short. People don't go all out like they do for prom so the dresses aren't huge and long. They definitely shouldn't be long because you'll be up and dancing the whole time and everyone will stop on your dress. Don't look too overdone, either. It's just a waste of time but you still have to look cute! :]

Hope I helped.

You dont need to have a date to go to a homecoming you wanna go there to have fun and go wild and just laugh and smile the whole day through go with friends just have fun and maybe just dance with a boy over there trust me cause usally alot of people when they havea date they'll dance for like 10 minutes and just move around to others unless there a couple.

yes go jsut because you dont have a date doesnt mean you cant go have fun and look beautiful
just go to homecoming with your friends and have a blast who needs boys. and you never know someone there a boy might ask you to dance the chances are someone will.
as a dress advice just look for something thats comterferable and beautiful and that you like not what everyone else likes.

1. Don't you dare not go because you don't have a date. Homecoming isn't like prom, you don't have to have a date, and it's a lot more fun if you don't. Who wants to dance with the same person for hours on end, anyway?
2. Start looking now, seriously I know girls who bought theirs in august. Most homecomings are cocktail-style dresses, usually spaghetti strap or strapless, knee-length or shorter.
