If you're busy like me and don't have a lot of time for exercise, you could try cutting a few fattening things out of your diet. You'd be surprised how such a small change can make you lose weight so easily. For the entire summer, I didn't drink ANY pop (not even diet) and I didn't eat french fries or fast food. I ended up losing ten pounds just from doing that. It takes about two weeks to really see results, but it does work. ]
You've got to be dedicated to lose weight.
The obvious thing to do is exercise. Go to a gym if possible.
Do around 15 minutes of brisk walking daily.
Put your self on a healthy eating plan and get your 5 daily fruits and veg.
Drink lots of water (most of the time, you're infact just thirsty when you think you're hungry. Sipping water throughout the day will help this).
Dance to your favourite songs, avoid public transport by walking to your destinations.
I'm certain Google will help you immensely.

Running. Try a few miles each day.
Drinking water, not soda.
Eat vegetables, and fruit, no cookies, chips, or other junk food.
Try crunches and leg lifts (that will tone your body more)
Ride a bike.
