What i'm going to do is just stay after school for tutoring as much as I can. And try really hard not to get distracted by the t.v or computer so you can study harder. And even if you get an assignment and it's Monday and they say "this is due friday" Do it as soon as possible instead of waiting until like thursday and having twice the work on a day you have soccer. Hope this helps a little. [ lil_dancer911's advice column | Ask lil_dancer911 A Question ]

My brother has had most of my teachers, so every year he looks over my schedule & tells me things about each teacher & gives me ways to pass their class & do good in it. If you have an older brother or sister, do what I do & see if it helps you.
When you don't have soccer, stay after for extra help [yes, even on a Friday]. Your teachers don't mind helping you. That's what they're there for. If what they're saying doesn't really help, ask one of your friend's for help. Chances are, they'll understand it & might even be able to explain it better than the teacher. When a teacher couldn't explain something to me so I'd understand it, I'd ask a friend & I ended up getting it when my friends explained it. Try that out too.
Also, how is your work space when you do your homework & study? Are you near the computer, tv or radio? Are you near food or are you somewhere noisy where people are gonna bother you? If so, get from those spaces! Those are all the wrong places to be when doing you're homework. When you're going to do your homework, go somewhere quiet where you know you won't be bothered. Don't turn on the tv, radio or computer. Don't turn on your ipod, and don't work near food. Maybe go outside & sit on your porch & do homework. I usually do my homework on the deck of my pool because it's calming & really quiet. I can actually concentrate that way. If you need to find a space to do homework, try a living room that doesn't get used often [some families have two living rooms, I do], or sit in your room. Also, do your homework as soon as you get home. And when you don't get something, at least try it before you give up. Teachers like to see the fact that you tried. If you don't try, they can't help & it gets them frustrated. Another thing - when you get to school, check the class to see if they're in there. If they are, ask for help then. It's good to ask during class as well because you could be asking a question another student has, but it's nice to get it cleared up sooner than class that way if you have a studyhall you can do it then with no problems.

Ask your teachers if they can give you extra help after school.
tell your parents that you are having a tough time, they can help you out.
if you need any more help, let me know.

EDIT.
I am not 12, I'm 15. And i skipped a grade. So not only am I smart, but I'm pretty mature, more mature than you anyway (not that that is an accomplishment, a fish is more mature than you)
And what advice do you want to hear? Stop failing? How bout that? Stop playing soccer until you get better grades? How bout that? Don't count on getting into a good college, how bout that?
If YOU are failing, and YOU don't understand what the hell is going on, YOU need to get help from SOMEONE else. Because YOU don't get it, YOU cant help YOURSELF.
If you don't talk to your teachers, they can't help you. If you were one of the smartest kids in your classes last year, chances are that other kids are having a tough time. Are you in AP classes? Switch out of them. Throw a study party with your friends, not that much studying gets done, but its worth a shot. If you are really having a tough time, try Sylvan, or another tutor. What you need to know now, you'll need to know as a sophomore, a junior, a senior, and throughout college. So just saying "oh this will all blow over" is a bunch of bologna. You need help. Now.
