Question Posted Friday September 14 2007, 10:53 pm

alrite everyone i need some major help .. i know this is weird but im 19 years old and ive never had sex.. and im a female just to get that straight.. i have a boyfriend and we've been dating for about 2 months now. and he wants to have sex. i knew he had sex with his ex girlfriend all the time so when we first started dating i told him i just wanted to wait awhile to have sex with him. now that its been awhile our relationship is kida crummy bc we dont have sex i suppose. but i dont know what to do because i want to have sex. but im scared to death of getting pregnant. he told me that precum has no sperm whatsoever. how effective is it to have sex, use a condom and pull it out before he goes? does precum have any sperm in it? do you think that i should get on birth control first and does birth control make you gain weight? plessseee help:(

Precum does have sperm in it. Your boyfriend is wrong. However, using a condom would be very effective. You should also get on birth control even though it will make you gain weight.

Nevertheless, not having sex doesn't make a relationship crummy. Sex will not make your relationship magically better. Communication does that. If your boyfriend isn't enjoying your relationship just because there isn't sex, you may want to rethink your staying with him.

Hey,
Don't worry its perfectly normal that you havn't yet had sex, some people just choose to wait and others don't. The only way to have sex and not get pregnant is to go on the pill. Gaining a little weight is a side afect that afects some girls, its basicly just retained water. But its either the pill and sex, or just no sex if you dont want to get pregnant.
Oh and remember to use a condom aswell, even if your on the pill, such thing dose not pretect against STD's.

Hope this helps!

first off, it is definetly not weird that you haven't had sex yet and you're 19. i actually respect you for making that decision. secondly, i know this is not what you want to hear but a relationship without sex isn't crummy, i'm sorry but i don't think thats the reason. however, if you really want to have sex with this guy, then go for it, but i'm just informing you that whenever you have sex there's a chance of getting pregnant, yes even with a condom and yes precum does have sperm, yes most birth controls make you gain weight. i'm really sorry i bet none of this was what you wanted to hear but my advice is if you're not ready to be pregnant, don't have sex, cause there's always a chance.
