I'm always tired

Question Posted Tuesday September 11 2007, 9:49 pm

I'm generally a healthy person, average weight, happy, physically active. However, I'm always tired. I eat right and get about 6-8 hours of sleep each night, but it never fails. I'm always yawning and my mind zones out! (Yes, I do eat breakfast) I don't know what to do, my mom won't take me to the doctors because were in the process of switching healthcare plans. Any ideas what might be constantly making me sleepy?

It's probably a nutritional deficiency. If you are vegan or vegeterian (or even if you aren't) you need to be taking multivitamins every day plus a B complex (there aren't enough b vitmains in a multivitamin usually).

You also probably need to aim for 9 hours of sleep every night. I know it's hard with all the crap you have to deal with in ur teenage life, but really make it your first priority to get those 9 hours in.

If you drink caffeine regularly that is also something that contributes to the problem, because caffeine drains your energy. It might give you a temporary charge, but it seriously undermines your rest at night- causing an endless cycle of sleeplessness.

But if those ideas fail, you should still try to see a doctor.

i hope i helped.
