erythromycin tablets side effects

right basically i have been prescribed years course of anti biotics (erythromycin). i have to take 3 a day. im a athlete an di like to stay in shape now i have a problem. i seem to be getting extremely hungry. coul anyone tell me if its the tablets which do this??

i went on drugs.com and it said the opposite prolonged use will cause loss of appatite, visit this site you may want to learn about other effects, especially drugs not to take with it, i also looked at the symptoms and uses on why its prescribed, maybe you should get a second oppinion it sounds like an awful lot of pills for along time, also watch for another infection caused by taking this drug its called a super infection, well you will see it when you get to the site good luck Get Well Soon BRIE

I don't think increased appetite is a side effect
of erythromycin. Its more likely caused by your
increased physical activity through athletics.
