confidence but not cockyness, is a good way to get a guy to notice you, to do well in life and etc. am i right?

And cocky and smug = him not you. you want to be different from him and if your anything like my big sis in high school then you wont be like the other girls that are all: `Hi (his name)

Yes, it is. If you believe in your self, others will too. People wil notice if you walk with your head held high, so do it! There's no down side to being confident.
