std

Question Posted Saturday September 1 2007, 4:39 am

My boyfriend cheated on me during our relationship now he is trying to say that I gave him an STD. I haveonly been with him and had oral sex with another guy, and I don't think I have anything but where can I go and get checked? What all do they do and how much does it usually cost?

There are clinics all over the world. Since you didn't give your location, here's a website-

You can put in your information at that website to find a center & learn more about what you can do. Tests are also done by hospitals. You can also check out the 'hotlines' section on that same website.

They are private, so you can go yourself or ask a family member/friend to go with you. Here's extra information about the types of tests-

For pricing information-

If you go to a hospital, it's either free or your insurance can cover it. I think your insurance can cover the clinic pricing also. It depends on your company. For more information, you can use google. I just googled your questions & they came up with quite a few options.

You can go to your primary care doctor to ask. I believe planned parenthood also does it. The cost depends on your insurance plan. The thing is though, he might have given it to you, and I dont think its possible to determine when you got it.
