devorce
okay well im 15/f.
my life is awesome.
it seems like a fairytale, big house, all the money and cloths i want, ect. well today my dad told me that him and my mom where going to get a devorce. im devistated. anyone have any good advice?

My parents divorced when I was 11 and I was really torn up about it at first, but after a few years I've realized that it was for the better. It is hard to go from each parent's house to the other, and sometimes they say bad things about eachother to my face, which drives me crazy, but just be there for your parents because it may seem like its hard on you, but its much harder for them. But I prefer my parents being divorced..I love my dad's girlfriend and I'm happy for my mom that she is remarried and happy now. And my parents are much more lenient now that they're divorced. So its not the end of the world and its not the end of your fairytale life.

I understand your situation very much because wen i was very little my parents also divorced. Theres nothing you can really do to keep them together its their choice and their only doing it so all of you can be happy. It doesnt seem like a happy thing but it will get better. All you can do is wait and see what happens and try and deal with it as time goes by.
