Am I overloading myself?

Question Posted Friday August 24 2007, 11:12 pm

I'm going to be going to high school from 8:45 to 1:00, starting August 27th. Then, I will be attending Cosmetology school from 5:30 to 9:30, starting September 4th. For an hour or more after high school I will be with my boyfriend and working on homework for both schools. I wont be attending either school on the weekends. I'm going to be waking up at 6 every other day to work out for an hour.

Will this eventually overload my body and cause me to become exhausted? I don't get stressed out very easily, so I'm not worried about my mental condition, just my physical.

I think you'll be just fine. It's not like you won't be getting enough sleep and eating KFC every day. The only problem I can foresee revolves around the fact that you have lumped your "homework" and "boyfriend" time together. Unless you really discipline yourself, it's near impossible to get your homework/studying/etc done to the degree that it should be with your boyfriend there. Your boyfriend will be a HUGE distraction. Budget that time very, very wisely and carefully or separate it! I really suggest separating it somehow. Do your homework in the library at your school before going over to your boyfriend's and try not to rush through it. Better yet, don't hang out with your bf every day! School is more important and you can hang out with your boyfriend on weekends. Other than that, a healthy diet is all you need to keep from getting sick, exhausted, or having to exercise much for the time being. You don't have to go all out on some crazy diet, just eat healthy. Good luck. :)

I think you'll be fine as long as you eat healthy and don't skip meals just because you're too busy to eat. Also, make sure to catch up on sleep on the weekends. If you feel overly tired on some days, it would be a good idea to take a nap for 20-30 minutes. You won't need to work out every other day. Three times a week should be plenty to keep you in shape.

The most important thing is not to skip meals when you are overloaded with stuff to do. When having a busy schedule like yours, its easy to just not eat, or maybe pick up some fast food on the go. DON'T DO THAT! Make a point of carrying granola or fruit bars in your purse when you're on the run.

I think you can do it if you manage your time really well. at least you have a break after school where you can do your homework or maybe take a nap to catch up on sleep. as long as your mental condition stays healthy, you should be ok physically. <3
