For the record: DO NOT take pain killers or anything else before going to get a piercing or tattoo. They make you sign a waiver stating when you last drank, took drugs, took meds, etc.
If you have taken pain killers, they WILL NOT do it.
There IS a reason for that, and going against it is a stupid thing to do.
Besides, if you can't handle the little bit of pain it takes to get it pierced, you can't handle the first stages of the healing process.
CrazyInLove14 answered Monday July 7 2008, 6:07 am: It doesn't hurt that much. Its just like any other piercing. It will hurt a little bit when you first get it but it will be worth it in the long run. The part that goes in your nose will not be visible at all unless you show people, and the part that shows will be just like an earing except a little closer to your skin.
If you do get it and you dont like it after its done, you could always take it out and let your skin go back together. [ CrazyInLove14's advice column | Ask CrazyInLove14 A Question ]

It's like simply pinching yourself a tiny bit on your arm or leg.
It doesn't stick out when you get it pierced unless you get a stud to big for your nose. [ amber_x's advice column | Ask amber_x A Question ]
Lauraaxhelps answered Sunday July 6 2008, 7:24 pm: Last night i actually attempted to do it myself. it didnt hurt a lot if you're numbed! if your getting it done professionally, dont get the guns. my sister got it and it stabbed the inside of her nose and she got a huge nose bleed.
If your doing it yourself--this kind of stopped me
thelaura answered Sunday July 6 2008, 7:21 pm: On a scale of 1-10, I'd say 3. Just don't take pain killers before, because they thin your blood and then you'll end up a bleeder.
If you pierce through scar tissue, it hurts more.
As for the stud sticking out.. it depends what type you pick. Go for a smaller option if you don't want it to be that big. [ thelaura's advice column | Ask thelaura A Question ]
