how do you know if a condom breaks?

Best way it to put the condom under water and see if the water seeps out from anywhere...as if you wwere filling up a balloon for a water balloon fight.

The guy is usually the first one to notice if a condom breaks. If he's not a complete asshole, he'll tell you. Condoms are pretty safe but if you're young you should really use a backup, like the birth control pill. You can go into a clinic and get a few cycles for free, without your parents even knowing. Condoms do break!
